This weekend was pretty much amazing! Wanna know why? It was my birthday!!! My husband is amazing. He came home from work Friday night carrying a sheet of paper in his hand. I noticed the piece of paper, but I didn't ask what it was (with him, you never know!). After walking from room to room in our apartment with the paper STILL in his hand, I finally asked what he had. And he handed me this:
That's right. I was so confused, until he revealed that my birthday present was a one-night stay in the most incredible hotel in the world. The Opryland Hotel in Nashville. Talk about fancy shmancy. So we packed up our bags and left early Sunday morning, and in the car on the way to Nashville, he handed me an envelope full of money for a shopping spree!! Seriously, how incredible is my husband?! I'm a shopping addict. I'll just go ahead and admit it. I've been really good and haven't been shopping since before we were engaged, so he thought I deserved a good shopping trip! [ I totally didn't deserve it... he's just the best] We shopped all day Sunday at the Oprymills mall, and then woke up early Monday morning and did a little more shopping! He absolutely spoils me. Here are a few pictures from our trip:
This is INSIDE the hotel! If you've never been to the Opryland Hotel, you're missing out. Go. It's like a miniature jungle city.
This was our dinner spot Sunday night inside the hotel. How romantic/cozy is that?
This was from Monday morning! We walked around in the hotel and did some shopping! He was such a good sport.
This was on our trip home. We were trying to be models. It didn't work out too well for us.
And i can't forget our BULLDOGS!! We have season tickets to the MS State football games, so on Saturday we drove on down to State (about a 3 hour drive) and tailgated and then went to the game. The bulldogs brought home our first win with our new coach, Dan Mullen, and obliterated Jackson State with a 45-7 victory! Go dawgs go!
This weekend was so much fun! My husband was such a sweetheart, and I got heaps of new clothes! Wahoo! Three cheers for birthdays!

Stopping in from SITS. Happy belated birthday.
ReplyDeleteI live in Nashville. So glad you enjoyed your stay. My husband and I spent our wedding night at the Opryland Hotel using the Honeymoon package. It was soooooooooooo wonderful.
Y'all are so cute. :)
So cool! You have a great husband. I live in a neighborhood that's about a mile from Opryland Hotel. The street where Cracker Barrel is...that leads back to my house. So I'm kinda saturated with it.
ReplyDeleteTHanks for coming by my blog! It's lovely to meet you!
ReplyDeleteWow, what a gift!! :)
