ryan and i have this awesome dream of one day owning a speed boat. this is a far-fetched dream, because boats are expaaansive; however, we still fantasize about it. we even tried to convince ryan's parents to buy a boat so they could minister to us and our newlywed friends, but that didn't fly. They saw right through our little scheme.
so every year there is a big boat show at the Agricenter in Memphis, and we decided that we HAD to go this year. It actually turned out to be a super fun, out of the ordinary date.
We ate lunch at this delicious new treasure! It's called Genghis grill and it's super healthy and inexpensive! It's unique and soo yummy! Check out their website: http://www.genghisgrill.com/
Then we headed to the boat show! This was my favorite boat! For some reason I'm drawn to yellow and white boats, and this one was auuhhhhmazing.
Here is Captain Ryan sitting in his dream boat. He looks so natural behind that wheel. :)
and this is what I would do while he was driving: ((except I wouldn't look so posed))
Too bad the only thing we bought at the boat show were some roasted pecans. That's about all we could afford. :( Maybe one day we'll own a boat. just maybe. or at least know someone who does so we can mooch off them. I've got no shame.
We ended the day by taking a trip to Davis Kidd to buy the book i've been DYING for:
I'm almost done with the book and let me just say, it's soooo good. I can't put it down. She's a great writer and I love her love story. She'll be at the bookstore signing her book this Friday night and you better believe I'll be there! I'll be so star struck and I imagine that I'll say something along the lines of "you are my biggest fan", but I'm willing to that risk. Oh how I love Ree Drummond. and my husband.
