I met Pioneer Woman. And it was everything I ever dreamed of.
She was in Memphis at Davis Kidd signing her new book, From Black Heels to Tractor Wheels (I may or may not have read the whole book in a day and a half. It was kinda good.), and you better believe that I went to that book signing. In case you don't know, I love Ree Drummond. I seriously wish my computer could count the number of times that I've been to her website, because believe me, the number would be astronomical. Not only do I love her because she is a culinary genius, but she's also hilarious, a sweet mom, a great photographer, and a really good writer. She's only a little bit talented.
Anyway, so I met her AND MARLBORO MAN. She brought him along on this leg of her book signing tour, which i just thing is awesome, and they were both so sweet and so down to earth. She signed her new book for me and even laughed at the stupid things I said. Did I mention that I like her?
Creeping over the bookshelf to take a picture of Ree. No, i was not stalking her.
So while I was creeping over bookshelves, I turned around and BAM! There was Marlboro Man. An angel with a cowboy hat. Not really, I'm dramatic. But it was super cool to actually see his face. All of the pictures she has of him on her website only show his profile. He's like Wilson from Home Improvement.
Lauren, MM, and me. Please notice my stupid idiot grin and my ruby red face. I was only slightly embarrassed and excited to ask him for a picture. And the only thing I could mutter after the picture was "I love your wife". And then I just cowered down and ran away. Real cool, Lindsay. However, I did get a picture with MM before getting a picture with MM was cool. After I got my book signed, I turned around a saw a long line for pictures with him. It made me feel like I wasn't a total loser.
The lovely Ree Drummond. Wanna know what the first thing I said to her was? "I met your husband!" Again, cool Lindsay. I'm so good with first impressions. Thank goodness she was nice to me despite my stupidness. She asked Lauren and I if we were sisters and said we were cute! And then she asked if I wanted to go eat dinner with her and be her best friend. Oh wait, no that didn't happen. Dang it.
another picture of her signing book. and NO, I was not stalking her. Why do you keep asking?
that was a good night.

So I know someone in the back of your photos! Such a small world!
