Our MERRY first Christmas!

I'm so sad the Christmas season is already over! At this time last year, Ryan and I had just gotten engaged, and now.. fast forward a year later... we are married and spending our first Christmas together! This Christmas was so sweet and it was such a blessing to spend it with Ryan!
(A picture from our engagement last year!)
The morning before Christmas we woke up and headed out to finish a little shopping... there's nothing like a little procrastination to kick off Christmas Eve! After shopping, we came home and Ryan fixed us a yummy chicken club sandwich for lunch! Then we finished up some cooking for Christmas day and then got ready for the Christmas eve service later that night. Ryan's mom and brother sang in the Christmas eve service, and they sounded absolutely beautiful! It was so sweet to worship andpray with my husband on Christmas Eve. The service was such a great reminder of what the true spirit of Christmas is... worshipping our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

After the service, we went to Ryan's aunt's house and had dinner and then all the women participated in an ornament exchange! check out this adorable ornament I got! It couldn't be more perfect for us!

Go dawgs!

At Aunt Deb's on Christmas Eve!
After we left Aunt Deb's house, we stopped by Ryan's parents house to open presents with them! My mother-in-law gave me this adorable jacket that I'm in love with!

We didn't get home until midnight on Christmas eve, and we were exhausted! But I am like a child when it comes to Christmas morning, so I was up and ready to open presents at 6: 30 a.m.! I had to do a little convincing to get Ryan to wake up with me, but after a few annoying shakes and some jumping on the bed, Ryan finally agreed to get up! We opened our presents to each other, drank some apple cider, and then got ready to head to my parent's house for Christmas morning!

My mom makes a yummy breakfast every Christmas that we all eat together before we open presents! this year she made crumb cake and some sausage casserole! It was delish! After we ate breakfast, we all tore into those presents! My mom got me this black pair of boots that i was dying for as well as a really cute clutch, some scarves, and a hat! Ryan got a bunch of hunting stuff from my parents! My parents absolutely spoiled us! but i'm not complaining!

(Christmas morning at my parents! I still have sleepy eyes! Notice I'm wearing my new jacket!!)

After spending Christmas morning with my folks, we headed to Ryan's grandparents where we had Christmas lunch and opened presents with his family! We all gave his grandparents a new t.v., and it was so sweet to watch their reaction as they opened the gift!

After lunch, we headed BACK to my parents house for Christmas dinner! My dad grilled some ribs (do you grill ribs? I'm not sure) and let me just tell you, they were ridiculous. Seriously. They were the tastiest ribs I've ever had. My dad is quite the grill-master. After dinner we opened a few more presents with my sweet sister and her family! It was so fun to watch my nephew open his gifts!

My mom gave Jack a chocolate-covered peanut butter ball! Can you tell that he enjoyed it?
My beautiful sisters and my best friends, Audrey and Katie.

After a long, fun-filled day with Ryan and my awesome family, Ryan and I headed home because he wasn't feeling to well! it was such a great Christmas though! I'll never forget my first Christmas with my new husband!
