Who knew that it would be so hard to get a decent Christmas picture of our family? I mean.. our family consists of me, my husband, and our puppy. You'd think it wouldn't be THAT hard to get the three of us to look at the camera! It's not like we're the Duggar family. I mentioned in my last post how my husband and I went downtown with a bunch of other couples to take pictures for our Christmas cards:
All the pictures turned out great, but we really wanted one with our little punk in it. So we decided to take one on Thanksgiving, but we forgot to take it during the day (of course), so it didn't turn out very well. [it was a little dark]
So then we asked my sister to come over and take another one of us in front of our humble little Christmas tree. but of course, something was wrong with those pictures too. They were all too blurry.
So we attempted one more time. we decided we would take a picture by ourselves and just put the camera on its timer. but... big surprise.. those didn't turn out either. Ruby is the most stubborn puppy in the world.
(notice how i had to hold her head in place to get her to look at the camera!)
She was giving me kisses, so I couldn't get angry with her for not cooperating in this one!

A thousand christmas pictures and one frustrated husband later, I resorted back to a picture we took downtown. i LOVE the way it turned out! Visit silly me design to have a custom card made for you!
I guess I'll have to leave Ruby out of the family photo this year. I don't think she wanted to be in it anyway. She just would not cooperate. Next year, I'll start trying to take our Christmas picture in July. Then maybe I'll get at least ONE good one of all of us!

ReplyDeleteOh - it IS hard to get a great shot! I have to take dozens if not hundreds of my kids to get one decent one - that's why there's just the two of them on our card this year and not all 4 of us! Ha! BUT - you two look great in all yours! Merry SITSmas!

ReplyDeleteMerry SITSmas. What a darling blog you have! I love it! And getting a dog to sit still for a picture is hard as I learned on Halloween. It's like getting kids to have all their clothing in place, fingers out of their mouths, and eyes open at the same time. :)

Cute pictures! It sure is hard to get a great picture with a dog. Somehow we managed in ours! We have a Boxer and she is all kinds of crazy but we love her just the same!

Your blog is so cute, I found you through SITS and I'm going to start following you. I think the same thing would happen at our place if we tried to take Christmas pics too. Our little kitty isn't exactly very cooperative, she's a little terror. The one you chose came out good.
