Welcome Harvest!

So I know it's been ages since I last updated, but you would not believe the past week and a half I've had. Can you say.. busy?! These posts are LOOONG overdue, but better late than never, right? I've always been a firm believer in that. Anyway... I went garage sale shopping with my sister, Katie, last week. Cue scary music as I say this..... it was my first time EVER to go garage sale shopping. I'm sure most of you are shrieking and gasping right now, so pause for a moment to take a breath. Let me explain myself... Saturday is my day to sleep in, and it's really hard for me to sacrifice that. But I found some great stuff, and had so much fun! I will admit, I was kinda a snob when looking at other people's trash, but my sister gave me great ideas on how to turn them into treasure! I learned that garage sale shopping is definitely a skill. I'm HORRIBLE at bargaining or haggling with people. I always feel bad. So I made my sister do it for me. And she got me some great deals! so thanks kate! So.. without further ado... here are my finds from last saturday!

Tis the season.. to start buying Christmas decorations! I thought this little sking santa was to precious. And who doesn't love pottery? He was a whomping 50 cents!

I got this little dress for my soon-to-be niece, Jovie Claire! She can't wear it until she's 16 months, how adorable would this be with a little pair of cowgirl boots? It was 50 cents! Brand new with the OshKosh tags on! I hope you like this auds!

Got this bag of bows for 25 cents! These will be so handy at Christmas!

I got this for my strapping muscle-man-of-a-husband. He always uses these things to drink his protein shakes out of. Yuck yuck yuck. It was $1.

I found this picture frame for $3 dollars! It was one of my most expensive buys of the day, but it was really nice and I needed a frame this size!

And this was my favorite find of the day! I needed a chair to sit at my computer desk because I was sick of moving my kitchen table chair back and forth. I found this little gem for $5! My sister tried to talk it down to $4, but the lady quickly informed us that it was solid wood and over 150 years old. yeah.right. but I do love it!

Heaven knows the next time I'll have a free minute to sit down and blog, so I thought I'd include a little of my fall decor in this post as well! I have no shame admitting this, all of this decor was bought. I'm not as crafty as some of you folks. But it was ALL on sale, and that's something to be proud of.

So i bought this at kirklands for 10 dollars! only 10 dollars! I'm in love with it! (the picture is a little dark.. sorry)

I bought most of this stuff from Kohls for 50% off. The two big candles were $20 total, the ceramic pumpkin was $5, and the rod-iron pumpkin I bought for $6 at a crafts fair. I drove all over town looking for some leaves or garland to wrap around the pumpkins and candles, but I just could not find any that didn't look fake. Until I found these at Hobby Lobby... they never disappoint. The wooden candle holders we got for our wedding from Pottery barn!

And I bought this at a craft fair too! It's hanging outside our apartment door.

That's all folks! Hopefully I'll be able to post again soon! Hope everyone is having a fantastic fall!
